Grow in a water depth of 6"-9". This group of plants produce beautiful foliage but few blooms. A good addition to add texture to the water surface. Dormant in the winter months. Fertilize in spring and mid summer. Zone 6-10

Water depth is measured from the top of the soil to the water surface.

We use and recommend open weave plant baskets. The open weave design allows the plant roots to feed from the water as well as the soil. The basket should be lined with untreated burlap to prevent the soil from leaking into the water. Smooth pebbles placed on the soil surface discourages the fish from digging in the plants.
